Contracts Manager – Fitout & Interiors

Location: Edinburgh

Peace Recruitment is working exclusively with an established fitout and interiors contractor in Edinburgh that is looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager.

The business has built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality fitout, refurbishment and bespoke interior projects. Due to continued growth, it is looking for someone who can take ownership of multiple projects and ensure they are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest standard.

This opportunity could suit an experienced Contracts Manager or an established Project Manager who is ready to take the next step.

The role

You will oversee projects from pre-construction through to completion, working closely with clients, the commercial team, site management and subcontractors. Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing multiple fitout and interiors projects
• Overseeing programmes, budgets and project delivery
• Coordinating site teams, subcontractors and suppliers
• Maintaining strong relationships with clients and consultants
• Monitoring quality, health and safety, and commercial performance
• Identifying and resolving potential project risks
• Supporting projects from initial planning through to final handover
• Ensuring work is completed to the required standard and specification

The ideal candidate

The client is particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have:

• Experience as a Contracts Manager or Project Manager
• A background in fitout, refurbishment, bespoke interiors or joinery
• Previous experience working for an SME-sized contractor
• Strong knowledge of the full project-delivery process
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• A keen eye for detail, finish and quality
• The ability to manage several projects and competing priorities
• A proactive and commercially aware approach

A joinery background would be highly advantageous but is not essential if you have strong, relevant fitout or interiors experience.
