Temporary Finance Assistant

Dunfermline

Temporary (3 months)

Up to £35k DOE 💰💰

Office Angels are delighted to be partnering with a well-established global organisation in Dunfermline to recruit a Temporary Finance Assistant for an immediate start. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional looking to join a supportive and fast-paced finance team, with the flexibility of hybrid working once training has been completed.

Working within the International Finance team, you'll play a key role in supporting Accounts Payable, banking and reconciliation activities across multiple entities and currencies. This is a varied position where accuracy, organisation and strong communication skills are essential.

• Managing a busy shared finance mailbox and responding to supplier queries
• Processing high volumes of invoices using three-way matching procedures
• Preparing and processing weekly supplier payment runs
• Reconciling multiple bank accounts and ensuring transactions are accurately recorded
• Processing employee expenses and related finance postings
• Investigating and resolving invoice discrepancies with internal departments
• Maintaining and reconciling supplier accounts and records
• Applying credit notes and supporting month-end activities
• Assisting with intercompany reconciliations
• Supporting wider finance functions including Accounts Receivable when required
• Producing accurate reports and working with large data sets in Excel

• Previous experience within a Finance Assistant, Accounts Payable, Purchase Ledger or similar finance role
• Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Confident Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Office user
• Experience working with multiple currencies or international entities would be highly advantageous
• ERP system experience is desirable
